The Leaders of Design Council in conjunction with Classical Excursions announces its pre-conference excursion to Sicily. Following the tradition of the most adventurous Grand Tourists of the 18th and early 19th centuries, participants will discover the exotic allure of the Mediterranean’s largest island, which has been host to a spectacular number of cultures throughout its history. The Greeks, Romans, Carthaginians, Arabs, Normans, Spanish and Italians have all left their distinctive mark.
The program is based out of bustling Palermo for a four-night stay with a day trip to Segesta to see the iconic Temple and Greek Theater and to visit an Olive Oil Farm for lunch and a tasting.
Our program begins on the evening of November 10th with dinner in a private palazzo and ends on the morning of November 14th after breakfast.
