The Leaders of Design Council announces its pre-conference excursion to Amsterdam. For centuries, the famously low – lying Netherlands have been a pivotal influence in art, culture, exploration and progress. From pastoral scenes of windmills, waterways and tulip fields, to iconic vibrant cities such as Amsterdam, The Netherlands offers an unforgettable experience for all combining chic, urban elegance with a relaxed but enchanting atmosphere, creating an incomparable destination.

The Conservatorium Hotel, the iconic hotel in Amsterdam repeatedly crowned as the number one luxury hotel in the Netherlands will serve as your home away from home for 4 days. Located in the Museum Square district, the cultural heart of the city, the Conservatorium is an architectural masterpiece that combines a landmark heritage building with graceful, contemporary design. The city's crown jewels – the Van Gogh Museum, Concertgebouw, Rijksmuseum, and Vondelpark – are conveniently at your doorstep.
Our programme will commence on Wednesday afternoon, 6th of April 2022 starting with lunch followed by a unique architectural tour in the heart of the city. We will visit various locations througout the city during our time together including by not limited to unique visits to the world famous Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum, private visits to some of the most sought after homes in the city, a behind the scene visit to Royal Flora, the largest flower auction in the world followed by a visit to the the most beautiful spring garden in the world, the Keukenhof. In addition we have the pleasure to visit Studio Piet Boon the internationally renowned design studio, tour and meet with Piet and his team. We will start our final evening with a sunset canal cruise on the Amsterdam canals followed by unique farewell dinner. After breakfast on Saturday 9th of April when we will make our way to Bruges together via coach.
