Elevations with Keith Recker

Keith Recker is multi-faceted creative director: a color consultant, an expert in natural and indigenous crafts, the president and co-founder of HAND/EYE, a publishing and philanthropic organization for artists, the founder of a highly specialized color and branding consultancy called Chromosapien and a collector of global textiles and contemporary art. He has served as the Executive Director of Aid to Artisans, and previously was a home furnishings executive for retail giants such as Bloomingdale's Direct, Gumps by Mail, and Saks Fifth Avenue. His book, The Twentieth Century in Color (Chronicle Books, 2012) was published in eight languages, and his most recent book, True Colors: World Masters of Natural Dyes and Pigments (Thrums Books, 2019) will be re-issued in a second edition already this year.
